A review of 2025 in pictures

In the quiet time at the very beginning of the New Year, I wanted to send you my warmest wishes for 2026.
This is traditionally a time when we look back over the year that has drawn to a close, as well as looking forward to the year to come. I’d love to share some of my memories and inspirations with you here from my creative path through 2025. Thank you for joining me!
January
Moving back into my newly re-furbished studio was such a pleasure. The wintery sun was already increasing in strength, and I created a new series of wall hangings ‘Elementals’, inspired by the raw natural beauty of the Hebridean islands off the west coast of Scotland.

February
Exhibiting at Gallery 57 in Arundel as part of ‘Constructed’ including ‘Obsidian’ (right)…

…and more woven wall hangings coming off the loom.

March
A commissioned scarf in purples and mauves…

April
As the magnolias blossom, handwoven linen with painted warp artworks ‘Agate I and II’ are coming into being…

May
Small woven work ‘Into the flower garden’ is created especially for Art[s] Gallery, and is the beginning of a new series of work.
June
Sketches in the studio…

…and a small collection of cushions comes into being.

July
More scarves in lambswool inspired by a visit to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

August
New lambswool blanket scarves in blues and greens…

…and exhibiting with the IJ Kunstcollectief in Amsterdam.

September
Lens & Canvas art fair in The Hague.

October
A collection of lambswool blanket scarves in preparation for winter.

November
Studio views and sketches from pebbles and memories collected at Lyme Regis during the autumn break.

December
Festive markets…

… and a new direction in my work, which I’m looking forward to pursuing in the new year.

Thank you…
…so much for joining me on my creative journey through the seasons. Your support and interest really does make a difference. If you’d like to see more of my work and inspirations, I post regularly on Instagram @veronicapock and my work is available online at LiminalWEAVE on Etsy and Saatchi Art. with warmest wishes for 2026, Veronica x
“…This is the solstice, the still point
of the sun, its cusp and midnight,
the year’s threshold
and unlocking, where the past
lets go of and becomes the future;
the place of caught breath, the door
of a vanished house left ajar…”
‘Solstice poem’, Margaret Atwood
